MOYNEYANA FESTIVAL- 24th Dec – 26th Jan

This Festival starts with a BBQ, Santa and a sing-a-long
on Christmas Eve. On New Years Eve the streets are lined
with locals and visitors enjoying the vibrant colours and
creativity of the old-fashioned decorated float parade, followed
by live music into the night and a spectacular fire works
display. Each day there are different events to suit all ages
like the duck derby on the river, classic wooden boats and

PORT FAIRY FOLK FESTIVAL - Labour Day Weekend

The world famous independent Port Fairy Folk Festival attracts approx 40,000 people to the town each March. The best musicians from around the world perform at this 4 day festival
of folk, country blues, jazz, bluegrass, acoustic rock and world roots music. The festival transforms the town into a spirit of cultural celebration with the “Free Festival of the Streets” alongside the main concerts in the ticketed arena. The festival
has won 3 Australian Tourism Awards in a row and the Hall
of Fame Awards. Demand for tickets and accommodation is huge with tickets selling out in 1 day so contact the festival

WINTER IN PORT FAIRY

The winter festival is spread over 4 weekends and starts on
the Queens Birthday weekend. This is a great way to spend some of those wintry weekends with good music, great food and a laugh with some of our very funny comedians.
Take a step back in time on the History Weekend and explore Port Fairy’s many historic attractions and attend workshops

EX-LIBRIS BOOK FAIR - 1st Weekend in Sept

Inspired by the Welsh “bookshop” village of Hay on Wye.
During the fair, Port Fairy comes alive with thousands
of books for sale at the community centre and literary events happening at various venues all around this historic town.

TARERER FESTIVAL - Mid November

The Tarerer Festival is to be held on the traditional site of the meeting of the coastal clans. This multi-cultural celebration is an invitiation to gather together in the spirit of the 'meeting of the clans' from which 'Tarerer' takes its name.
Thought to be the only event of its kind in Victoria, Tarerer promotes harmony and exchange through the celebration of culture and country.
